About Kate McGrath

Kate McGrath is an award-winning playwright and theater artist who has excelled at teaching theater and playwriting to students of all ages for two decades. She currently teaches Fun with Acting at Walking Fish Theatre and is a Teaching Artist with Philadelphia Young Playwrights (and was a recipient of their Adele Magner Memorial Award). Previous teaching/directing credits include The Shipley School, The Walnut Street Theatre School, the Pennsylvania Performing Arts Academy, University City Arts League, Walnut Street Theatre School, Wolf Performing Arts Center, and the Montgomery County Cultural Center’s Heart of the Arts. She serves as Dramaturg for Philadelphia Theatre Workshop. Kate received her Masters in Theatre at Villanova, and lives in Drexel Hill. She is a published and produced playwright, and loves to work with kids and adults alike!
